In the not too distant future a new interpretation of The Great Gatsby will grace our cinema screens with a renewed interest in the 1920s. Even though we are uncertain about its release , it is definitely something people worldwide are waiting for since two years. And more interestingly for us, fashion lovers, we are all set to explore the 1920s fashion scenario in Baz Luhrmann and Muiccia Prada’s style!
Vogue Australia also showed us how it is extremely excited for the upcoming cinematic blockbuster. On the cover of its May issue, they have styled Victoria Secret’s recent angel Karlie Kloss in a gorgeous Miuccia Prada and Tiffany & Co. dress. The beautiful dress embellished in crystals and beads is somewhat similar to what Mulligan is seen wearing in the trailers of the film except the bow placement.
The dull color and the easy silhouette with exquisite embroidery is what symbolizes the aristocratic 20s which had a major influence from the art nouveau movement that went on side by side. Along with that, the slick bob hair on styled with the dress goes really well with the setting and the mood of the image. Also, the issue called the Collector’s issue, has written a feature on the film and has an interview with the key people in the making of the film. Nonetheless, Karlie Kloss looks great in that gorgeous and exquisite dress from the film. I have seen a couple of sketches from the film that were released to British Vogue and I am thrilled to see their final outcomes.
It is rumored that the film would be releasing in a month, on 10th May, until then you can indulge yourself in some fringes and feathers. So are you excited for the release of Great Gatsby?
