As the Jodi Arias trial comes to its screeching halt, Lifetime has announced that June 22 will be the premiere of its upcoming movie, Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret.

The film cast Tania Raymonde (Lost) as convicted murderer Jodi Arias who was found guilty of first-degree murder before an Arizona courtroom. Arias stabbed her boyfriend Travis Alexander almost 30 times, shot him in the head, and nearly decapitated him.

Though Arias maintains that she acted in self-defense after being slammed by Alexander for dropping his camera, her jury sided with prosecutors who described the murder as cold and calculated. Arias currently straddles the fence between a life sentence or the death penalty.

Lifetime has never failed capitalizing on true stories. In fact, to prep the audience for the film, a biopic will air to serve as reference for the movie.

But let’s just say, in this fantastic world where the imagination comes true – or Hollywood as Americans like to call it – that some Hollywood writer wants to turn Arias into a silver screen blockbuster. Who would be cast as the leading lady? Here are my 3 suggestions:

#3 Choice: Jennifer Love Hewitt

Yes, let’s make her completely relevant again by casting her as Arias. The 90’s Queen of Scream ala I Know What You Did Last Summer has proven that she can play brittle, a characteristic Arias had tried to express all throughout her emotional trial. And boasting a tiny frame almost similar to that of Arias, she almost seems like a shoe-in.

#2 Choice: Angelina Jolie

Throw Arias’ face on a Celebrity-Look-Alike website and you’ll almost always get Angelina Jolie. The trick here is weight loss, camera angles, and makeup. Despite her popularity in action films, Jolie is no stranger to drama. Let us reminisce in her performance in Changeling because even though that movie is 5 years old, praises are still due.

#1 Choice: Natalie Portman

Her role as Nina Sayers in the psychological suspense hit Black Swan is testimony to her superb acting ability. From fragile to utterly insane, Portman is like a light switch, capable of playing innocent one moment and then completely psychotic the next. Did anybody see her on SNL, rapping? Case closed.
