The result of a partnership between actress Kate Bosworth and stylist Cher Coulter, JewelMint is a succesful line of exclusive jewelry they started back in 2010. It’s since received praise from celebrities and non-celebrities alike. Not too long after its launch they started a guest curator series during which different celebrities design a piece for the line with a portion of the proceeds going to a charity of their choosing.
This month’s guest curator is actress Krysten Ritter and it’s been a hit. She designed a pair of geometric enamel and gold-plated Bermuda earrings. Half of the proceeds from the earrings are going to Autism Speaks, the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization. The $30 earrings were originally released in March and have been sold out twice. This is the 3rd time the earrings are being re-stocked and sold.
Past celebrity curators for JewelMint have been Jared Eng, Camilla Belle, Rachel Bilson, and Zoe Saldana. This is a classic charitable move that benefits all parties involved. Having the notoriety of a celebrity designing for the line, brings attention to the jewelry collection as well as the charity.
