Ashlee and Jessica Simpson

Appealing to all the self-proclaimed “tweens” (those in be”tween” childhood and adolescence–get it?) of the world, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson are apparently teaming up to produce a clothing line designed especially for them. The line will be a part of the Jessica Simpson Collection, a brand that has already put the “Irresistible” singer into the record books as the owner of the top selling celebrity clothing empire.

As for fellow rocker sister Ashlee’s participation in the line, Jessica says, “I’m excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today’s tweens.”

Specifically aimed at kids between 9 and 12, the line’s creation “was a natural extension for the brand,” Jessica told Women’s Wear Daily. The clothing line will be priced between $8 for a t-shirt to $22 for a stylish leather jacket and will be sold at Macy’s, Dillards, and Lord and Taylor. The spin-off, hitting stores this fall, is said to contain apparel including knit tops, pullovers, footwear, and outerwear. Luckily, this is not the only project Ashlee and Jessica have collaborated on: A range of clothing and accessories from the duo will be in stores in the coming months.
