Jennifer Aniston and Bill O’Reilly have not exactly been seeing eye-to-eye on the issue of single parenthood

Jennifer Aniston hasn’t been very “friendly” with Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly lately. In fact, the most recent celebrity feud has been anything but civil. The liberal actress and conservative talk show host have had quite opposing views when it comes to parenthood.

The celebrities’ dispute began when O’Reilly commented on a statement Aniston made about single parenting. As Aniston was promoting her new film, The Switch, in theaters this September, in which her character uses a sperm donor to have a child, the actress stated that a woman doesn’t need a man to have children, “Women are realizing more and more knowing that they don’t have to settle with a man just to have a child.” O’Reilly, a conservative television host, was angered by her comment and shot back with a few choice words on his Fox News program, The O’Reilly Factor. He frustratingly stated, “She’s throwing a message out to 12-year-olds and 13-year-olds that, ‘Hey, you don’t need a guy! You don’t need a dad!’ That’s destructive to our society.”

Aniston, however, determined to have the last word, retorted with a few snarky words of her own in an interview with People magazine. “Of course, many women dream of finding Prince Charming (with fatherly instincts), but for those who’ve not yet found their Bill O’Reilly, I’m just glad science has provided a few other options.”

O’Reilly is no stranger to controversy. The Fox News host has been known to get in quite a few controversial arguments with guests on his politically-charged show, which airs every weeknight on the conservative network. His eight-year feud with rapper Ludacris is a memorable example of one of the host’s feuds. Their dispute began in 2002 when O’Reilly chastised the hip-hop artist’s lyrics as violent and offensive. As a result, the rapper was dropped as a spokesman for Pepsi the following day. Unlike O’Reilly, Aniston’s position on parenting is one of the first times the Hollywood actress has voiced her own political agenda.

Whosever side you’re on, you have to admit that these parent-feuding celebs are acting more like children.
