On Friday, March 25, the complete roster of artists and songs was revealed for the “Songs for Japan” album, which will benefit the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. It was also officially made available for purchase on iTunes for $9.99! A pretty decent price for the stars on this album – and all for a really great cause.

Artists old and new were thrown together for this album. New comers like Nicki Minaj are next to legends like Bob Dylan. 38 songs make up this album, all by powerhouse artists from all genres – pop, country, rock, R&B and more. Artists include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lady Gaga, Kings of Leon, Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Rhianna, Katy Perry, Josh Groban, Bruno Mars, and plenty more. Definitely an album worth checking out!

All artists appearing on the album have waived their royalties and proceeds from the worldwide sales of the album to insure the Japanese Red Cross Society receives as much support as possible. iTunes also plans on donating the album’s worldwide sales to the JRCS, who will use the funds for ongoing disaster relief.
