Cameron set to film two new "Avatar" films

James Cameron is at it again. He is currently writing two new movies, “Avatar 2” and “Avatar 3”. But don’t worry, Cameron isn’t going to be one of those directors who just runs an idea into the ground, as he says this is NOT an “Avatar” trilogy.

I think everyone may be a little confused– Cameron is making three movies with a continuous storyline, but it’s not a trilogy? That’s right, Cameron is calling this a “story arc,” not a trilogy.

We’re shooting two films back-to-back, so I’m writing two scripts, not one, which will complete a [thr]ee-film story arc — not really a trilogy, but just an overall character arc so I’m pretty excited about that,” Cameron told Fox News.

These films are also expected to create 700 jobs in the movie industry, including a lot of for visual effects.

The two new “Avatar” films are set for release in December of 2014 and 2015.
