Iris Apfel for MAC

MAC’s collaboration list is never ending. So many high profiles have already teamed up with the makeup line, including Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, and Miss Piggy. Next up is 90-year-old fashion icon, Iris Apfel.

Apfel is known as the “rare bird of fashion” with her eclectic taste and over-sized round thick-framed glasses. Also, she is known for mixing costume jewelry with haute couture and lots of color.

After her 2005 exhibit at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, “Rara Avis: Selections from the Iris Apfel Collection,” she decided to collaborate with MAC to create her own 20-piece collection of colors that she loves and wears on a daily basis.

Apfel's Collection

The collection is mostly named after birds and consists of eye shadows, lip pencils, nail lacquer, beauty powder and brow pencils. It will be available at MAC stores on January 5, 2012 through February 9, 2012. The prices range from $14-$42. The bold hues prove that beauty can be at any age.

If you didn’t know about Iris Apfel, well now do!
