Idris Elba on November issue of Essence

Hands down Idris Elba is the man of the hour.  After taking on the role as the brand new spokesperson for Smartwater, receiving two Emmy Nominations, and releasing his song Private Garden, Idris Elba is onto his next endeavor; covering the November issue of “Essence” Magazine.

In “Essence,” Elba sits down with writer Dream Hampton who asks about his first acting break, fatherhood and what he loves about women.

“Skin, I love beautiful skin. I’m tactile. I’m very tactile. A woman who has really nice, look-after skin is such a turn on for me. It’s always sexy” says Elba. Of course for the complete 411, you would have to pick up the issue. I know I am!

Also, last week there was speculation that Elba was in the talks of possibly becoming the next “James Bond.”  Unfortunately, those were all rumors, sorry ladies!  Although Elba was flattered by the reports, he recently dismissed speculation when he told NPR,

“It’s a rumor. It’s a very old rumor. My dad and I were talking about this the other day. I would do it, but I don’t want to be called the first black James Bond. Do you understand what I ‘m saying? Sean Connery wasn’t the Scottish James Bond and Daniel Craig wasn’t the blue-eyed James Bond. So if I played him, I don’t want to be called the black James Bond.”
