Cute winter colors!

There is a serious misconception about fall fashion that I would like to clear up. Once the weather starts getting a little gloomier and the temperature drops our wardrobe tends to mirror the season’s theme. But what happens to us bright color lovers who don’t necessarily want to let go of our oranges, pinks and whites? You can still wear them!

There are a few sneaky exceptions to the rule that will help you bring a pop of color to your dark winter days.

Tights

Colored tights and dresses rule the runway.

Wearing tights during the summer can be extremely uncomfortable, not to mention itchy. Thank goodness for winter! Keep your legs warm and your bright colors alive with colorful tights. Dress them up with a baby doll dress or a skirt. To go for a more funky look, pair them with a pair of high-waisted shorts. Boots are also a great way to create contrast for your bright tights.

Hair accessories

Rosette Knitted Beret available at Forever21.com

So, you can’t wear flower clips in your hair from September to March but berets are always fun and perfect for those rare winter bad hair days. Yellow and orange are just bright enough without moving too far from the fall color palettes. Jazz things up by adding a flower clip on your beret or go for a more glamorous look and find a beret with some sparkles. Check out this look at Forever21.com.

Personally, I believe that lipstick is the best accessory any woman can own. Red and brown are usually cliche for fall and winter but break out of the usual colors and add some hot pinks and orange hues to your color palette this season. Here is a look at how celebrities make their pout pop. Click here to see how you can get T-Swift’s awesome pop-color lipstick look.
