Galifianakis's Character Poster for 'The Hangover Part II'

Like most of America, I sat comfortably in a movie theater during Memorial Day Weekend and paid $10.50 to catch the hilarious hijinks of The Hangover Part II on the big screen. While the already highly successful sequel continues to rank in the top three on the box office charts, there has been chatter of yet another Hangover flick in the works. But the question is, where will the new movie take place, and what sort of crazy situations will the “wolfpack” find themselves in the next time around?

According to the franchise’s star, Zack Galifianakis, his character Alan, along with Stu (Ed Helms), Phil (Bradley Cooper), and Doug (Justin Bartha), are indeed heading to parts unknown, but who would have thought uncharted territory for the infamous “wolfpack” would be an insane asylum?

When dishing details in the latest issue of Rolling Stone, Galifianakis notes that the third (and quite possibly, final) Hangover could focus on the crew breaking Alan out of a mental hospital. Hmm, I think I may smell a potential blockbuster brewing, but is the “leak,” so to speak, the real deal?

Though Warner Brothers has yet to confirm or deny plot points, one thing both the studio and Hangover helmer Todd Philips can probably agree on is that they want to get back to filming and have even started phoning the outspoken star.

“I’m getting fricking phone calls already,” notes Galifianakis in the mag. Is it safe to assume that he and his buddies will be back for another round? Until everything is officially sealed in writing, only time will tell.

The Hanover Part II is currently in theaters.
