Hadiiya Barbel

Hair stylist extraordinaire Hadiiya Barbel is reportedly in talks to collaborate with one of her client’s, Real Housewife Kim Zolciak, to start a hair extension line. Hadiiya is known for her beautiful and expensive wigs that she calls crowns.

She says to the NY Times, “I don’t call them wigs, I call them crowns. A wig is something you take out of a bag and put on your head. It’s standard. It has no personality. It’s ready-to-wear. A crown is couture.”

According to her website she doesn’t just provide you with great looking hair but a lifestyle. “Her passion is in total wellness, it’s not just hair, for Barbel it’s a movement. From a healthy lifestyle of fitness and a healthy green diet she encourages those that she encounters to always live their best.”

She’s styled clients such as Iman, Star Jones, Angela Bassett, Eve, Ahshanti, Food Network star Sunny Anderson, singer Mya, as well as daytime TV host Wendy Williams.

The wigs, crowns, are available online at her website. There’s no refund, probably because they’re custom made to each customer, but if they really look as good as they photograph I can’t see why anyone would want to return one.
