You know how there are those women who get more gorgeous with age? Gwyneth Paltrow is definitely one of them. She also gets more successful, glamorous, and irresistible, too. This Saturday, Paltrow took home her first Emmy for Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Holly Holiday in Glee.
Paltrow beat out fellow Gleeks Kristin Chenoweth and Dot Marie Jones in the category.
All of us Gleeks watched with “oohs” and “ahhs” when Paltrow, as the hilarious, hot substitute teacher, sang along to “Forget You” by Cee Lo Green and “Landslide” by the Dixie Chicks. But singing on Fox isn’t the only thing Paltrow is up to these days. Last year, Paltrow made her on-screen singing debut in Country Strong, alongside Tim McGraw and Garrett Hedlund. She continued her singing when she performed the song “Coming Home” from the movie at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.
Although we can remember Gwyneth Paltrow’s award-winning role in Shakespeare in Love in 1998, we feel that over the years, Paltrow is getting better and better. This past weekend, Contagion, directed by Steve Soderbergh, knocked The Help from its top spot at the box office and brought in a whopping $23.1 million. Paltrow shines along with the A-lister cast of Contagion, including Kate Winslet, and Matt Damon.
Paltrow’s personal life is also shining. Although once engaged to actor Brad Pitt back in the late 90s, Paltrow has now settled down with husband and Coldplay front man, Chris Martin. The lovely couple have been together since 2002 and have since had two gorgeous babies — Apple and Moses. Gwyneth has also recently shown off her rockin’ body, which we’re sure you’ve seen in all the hottest magazines. Paltrow was most recently on the cover of the big September issue of Elle magazine.
Gwyneth Paltrow has grown over the years into a singing, acting, simply gorgeous goddess of a woman, and we don’t see that changing anytime soon! She will continue to shine in movies, television, and in music! We can’t wait to see what’s next, girl!Tags: emmys, Glee, Gwyeth Paltrow, Gwyneth Paltrow: A Growing Goddess, Holly Holiday
