Celebrities reach out to their favorite Olympians

In the wake of all the celebration it seems that celebrities are just as glued to their TVs as the rest of the world. A week in to the Olympics, Team USA has already had phenomenal success and social media savvy celebs have taken notice.

With so many young Olympians in the group, there are sure to be some Justin Bieber fans out there. In fact, 17-year-old swimmer Missy Franklin was star struck when the Biebs tweeted:He also tweeted at the Fab Five after their big win:

It is no denying that this Olympic games is the most social one yet. Other stars and public figures like Lady Gaga and President Obama have also congratulated Olympic winners through twitter.

One of the most talked about celebrity reach outs was between Gymnastics star Gabby Douglas and Beyonce. Shortly after her win for the all around title, Beyonce blogged:

“A huge congratulations to 16 year old Olympic Gold Medalist Gabby Douglas – WOW – what a thrill to watch you take this Gold!  - enjoy this moment, its yours. Thank you for inspiring all of us! Love, B”
