Gareth Pugh, the reigning king of “gothic couture,” is giving fans everywhere an opportunity to look as ghastly chic as his models do on the runway. MAC Cosmetics is collaborating with Pugh to release a collection that is bound to create as big of a stir as his “Goddess from the Grave” show did back in spring 2010.
This is not Pugh’s first interaction with the cosmetic giant, as the ghoul-like complexion on the models of the spring show was created using MAC’s very own Micronized Airbrush foundation.
The collection will rely heavily on Pugh’s most-used colors: black, white, and gray. However, Pugh’s recent dive into bolder, brighter colors in his newest collection has us anxious to see if they’ll make an appearance in his cosmetics debut. MAC’s special edition collections have been noted to do extremely well, with the Wonder Woman collection selling out stores nationwide. Pugh’s collection is expected to be released globally, following a launch party in New York next month. Expect the Pugh collection to be in stores this November, a month after the designer’s show in Paris.Tags: cosmetics, fashion, gareth pugh, goddess from the grave, gothic couture, mac cosmetics, makeup, style, Wonder Woman
