Earlier this year, we let you in on a little secret about Gareth Pugh’s MAC Collection. We knew of the collection, but it wasn’t ready for our viewing pleasure at the time. But guess what readers? It’s Alive! The collection is here and ready for our dive into Gothic couture.
Although Pugh is a monochromatic type of guy, the collection features plays on the color purple, including a shade of lilac as well as a shade of deep, almost burgundy, purple. There is a sultry blue and a sexy nude color as well. All three shades really bounce off of each other and create a mood through the collection that screams Pugh.
It also has lashes in the collection that will leave everyone guessing the real shape of your eyes! They are extremely angled in a way lashes aren’t naturally, but there are seriously cool. (In the picture above, the model has them on her top and lower lashlines.)
The collection is gorgeous, and although I probably wouldn’t consider wearing the lipsticks and eye shadows together at once, I’d definitely focus on one element and go bold with it. The nail colors I love because they reflect other colors in them, giving them iridescent glows and little flecks of silver and blue shine depending on what angle you’re holding your hand.
Also, as a special treat I found a YouTube makeup artist by the name of Jennisse who attended the opening for the collection and gives you a little preview of all the products, including what packaging they come in and, most importantly, how they look on your skin! I really love her cute personality and, until you get your hands on the collection, she’s the next best thing, so check out the video below!
