The new album Wasting Light is due in April

In anticipation of their new album Wasting Light, the Foo Fighters released the first single off of the upcoming album, “Rope.”  And I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

April 12th marks both the release of Wasting Light and the return of Pat Smear as an official addition to Foo Fighters since they released The Colour And The Shape.  A touring member since 2007, Smear was also a member of Nirvana from 1993-1994.

Check out the new single after the jump!

It should be a treat to see what the Foo Fighters are bringing for 2011 compared to their last album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.

What do you think of ‘Rope?”  What is your favorite Foo Fighters album?
