Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters will release their seventh album April 12 in the United States and April 11 in the UK (Lucky Brits!)

Foo Fighters worked on the 11-track album, titled Wasting Light, with producer Butch Vig, who is credited for Nirvana’s “Nevermind,” and mixer Alan Moulder. Singer-songwriter and frontman Dave Grohl‘s former Nirvana bandmate, bassist Krist Novoselic, also appears on the album.

After the release of their new album, the band will play shows in the UK this summer at the Milton Keynes Bowl.

Can’t wait two months for the CD to be released? Lucky you – the band shared a 38-second instrumental snippet from a new song on its website in addition to the 30-second teaser of one of the new tracks “Bridge Burning” last month.

Still not satisfied? Hold your horses – another track, “Rope,” will be released as a single March 1.

The band is confirmed to headline summer festivals like Sasquatch! and Hangout Music Festival with Paul Simon and Widespread Panic in Gulf Shores, Ala. on May 21, and is strongly rumored to be playing Lollapalooza 2011 along with Eminem and Muse.

A full track listing from their new album can be found here.
