Cover Artists

This February has brought the music world a great trio of covers by great artists. The Decemberists, Weezer and The Walkmen were all captured at different venues, livening up stages with the music of other sweet artists.

First up we have The Walkmen, who stopped by RockFeedback with Deerhunter’s song “Agoraphobia.” The set also included a few tracks from their amazing album, Lisbon.  Listen here.

The Decemberists also gave a smash performance of  “Cuyahoga” by R.E.M. earlier this month. They were on ‘Morning Becomes Eclectic’ to perform a mini-set of their The King is Dead album. A download of the cover is available for free at Pitchfork.com and you can watch the entire performance at the KCRW website.

The last song I’ll leave you guys with is a sweet Joni Mitchell cover from James Blake. Not only is he easy on the eyes but his music is so easy on the ears as well. Download the track here.

What is your favorite cover song?
