The third annual Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) has recently been scheduled for September 8, 2011.
FNO is the biggest shopping event in many fashion capitals of the world, including Los Angeles, Milan, London and Sydney. For one night, all the participating designer stores will stay open from until 11 pm. The event is also attended by famed designers, models and other important figures in the industry.
This year’s FNO will include online retailers, allowing fashionistas everywhere to access selected designers’ collections. Polyvore has come on board to showcase different online stores and will feature sample looks styled by Vogue editors and celebrities. The event’s signature tees, baseball caps and tote bags are available on its official site fashionsnightout.com.
FNO in New York City is sponsored by Vogue, the CFDA, New York & Company and the City of New York. Since fashion is the biggest industry of the city, shopping is associated with the charitable act of creating about 175,000 jobs. In 2010, the show opened with 150 models and benefited the New York City AIDS Fund.
