Since 1991 when Perry Farrell, lead singer of Jane’s Addiction , put together the first Lollapalooza show, the event has brought fans together from all states. The two-day event put together for music lovers has been a great success. Now 20 years on the growing path of appreciation for music, Lollapalooza has made a large difference in fans’ lives, up & coming artists’ success and keeping artists relevant. Every year the event gets bigger and better, this year will be no different!
Since 2005, Grant Park in Chicago, IL has been the official home for Lollapalooza. Making it a people friendly location by offering a farmers market to grab great snacks, a place for fans to park their bikes, and arts and crafts events, Lollapalooza has become extremely popular. Adding up the list of cool perks and awesome artists at Lollapalooza, makes it difficult for some to grab tickets because they go so quickly.
Starting out with artists like Ice-T and Nine Inch Nails in 1991 to artists like Kanye West and Radiohead in 2008, Lollapalooza has always been about the fans and giving them what they want. Now in 2011, celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Lollapalooza, fans can find themselves jamming to headliners Eminem, Coldplay, Muse and The Foo Fighters. Along with the amazing headliners, fans will be enjoying the sounds of Kid Cudi, Damien Marley, Nas, Cold War Kids, Ok Go, Skylar Grey and many more.
