You probably never thought that you would associate Miley Cyrus with the word “rebel”. But times have changed and that’s exactly what the former Hannah Montana star is.

There have been an endless number of rumors and tabloid stories claiming that Cyrus and her fiancé Liam Hemsworth have called off their wedding. For some reason, I just don’t believe all the hype. Cyrus is never one to publicize her romance or listen to anything Hollywood has to say.

As usual, she took to Twitter to express her anguish about the rumors. Cyrus tweeted, “I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn’t call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining.”

I can’t say I blame Cyrus for getting away from social media and the paparazzi for awhile. She shouldn’t have to explain anything about her relationship. She’s young and in love, and that’s all that matters.

Hemsworth was reportedly spotted getting cozy with January Jones and Emma Watson on two separate occasions. The two haven’t been photographed together since their vacation to Costa Rica in January. Cyrus was also spotted at several events without her fiance in tow. Cyrus has been working on her upcoming album and Hemsworth on a new movie. Maybe that’s the simple explanation to all this drama.

What do you think of Cyrus’ tweet?
