Hailee Steinfeld and Elle Fanning

The teens are taking over fashion this year, with both Hailee Steinfeld and Elle Fanning’s ad campaigns being fully released this week. Both highly acclaimed in Hollywood, there is no doubt about the star quality the two girls possess.

Elle Fanning is pictured posing against a gray brick backdrop, dressed in a calf-length red dress for Marc by Marc Jacobs, while Hailee Steinfeld has photographs of her all-smiles with shoes splayed about her hair for luxury brand, Miu Miu.

Although both girls have been commended on their modeling chops, there is still the question of marketability. Can the girls really sell to those much older than their ages? Marc by Marc Jacobs might fare better with their target audience, as Marc by Marc Jacobs is, in fact, aimed towards a younger set with a more affordable price tag. Miu Miu on the other hand, the luxury brand created by Miuccia Prada herself, is designed for women’s clothing. Will Steinfeld’s tender age of 14 affect her appeal to the mature woman? The question will answer itself soon enough this fall.

Let us know what you think: Is age really nothing but a number?
