Anna Su performing at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles

Hey West Coast! If you’re into folk pop and jazz, singer-songwriter Anna Su (not to be confused with fashion designer Anna Sui) is performing on May 20th at Kollaboration Live located in Atlantic Times Square in Monterey Park, California.

If you can’t make it, add her to your playlist. She’s a keeper.

Su’s cool, raspy voice and traditional-sounding music can take you on mini, mental adventures.  Each song is a relaxing journey — the hand-drawn camel wearing shades (as part of her album cover) helps to illustrate that imagery.

Her music style reminds me of songs used in movies like Juno or shows like Grey’s Anatomy. It’s dessert for the ears, all light and fun with a storytelling component. Not only is she a singer, but a guitarist who can play an accordion.  Check Su out below:

There’s limited online information about her, but you can read her blog to get to know Su better!
