Diane Kruger played demigoddess Helen of Troy nearly a decade ago, making her big Hollywood film debut as the most beautiful woman on earth (sheesh…what an overachiever).

Once Troy wrapped, Ms. Kruger continued her role as a goddess…a fashion goddess that is. The woman knew how to rock a fancy-looking toga thing back then and has since shown she can rock literally anything in the mortal world. You see, Diane’s what I like to call an “NRRT” or a “no risk risk-taker” when it comes to fashion. This phrase, which comes from the Greek phrase (probably) meaning “flawless fashion goddess,” describes a woman like Diane, who takes fashion risks – wearing some pretty ballsy styles and trends – but whose looks never turn out to be much of a risk because it’s impossible for a Diane-like being to fail in the realm of fashion.

Put one of her gutsy looks on any other person, even Aphrodite for that matter, and you’ll go, “Bleck! What what the hell was she thinking?!” Yet you see this look on Diane and say, “I die. That outfit is everythingggg!” Gawd, I love her.

You know what else is flawless about flawless Diane Kruger? Her skin. Pshh…like a goddess would have blemishes…or wrinkles for that matter. The woman is 36 and totally creaseless! Not even any laugh lines, which is crazy because she’s always smiling in photos!

Well, as a result of her flawlessness, she has just been named the new face of Chanel skincare! Hmm…maybe she uses Chanel skincare products and thus has god-like skin, and if that’s the case I’ll buy and slather on that magic potion no matter how much it costs! And it’s Chanel, dahling, so you know it ain’t cheap.

It comes as no shock to anyone that Kruger was named the new face of Chanel. The German actress has shared a long loving friendship with fellow German and Head Designer/Creative Director of Chanel, Mr. (or shall I say, Herr) Lagerfeld, for years. This is her third collaboration with Chanel, as well! In 1996 Diane was named the face of the company’s “Allure” fragrance, and nine years later Karl had her pose in a Chanel handbag campaign in which he played photographer.

With this new campaign, Diane is now officially a Chanel “ambassadress,” meaning she’s going to have to don Chanel wherever she goes, which, I imagine, will be a real chore. I’m not jealous in the least! But the woman practically already has Karl living in her closet so encountering a shortage of Chanel is simply not possible. And now she’ll have all these awesome free skincare products to play with?! Damn you, goddess!

Now, if I recall correctly, Mr. Brad (as in Pitt) also starred in that Troy flick alongside our gal. He was the sexy demigod, Achilles…(clearly a total stretch for him). He was also recently the face of Chanel for a haute minute (oh, that infamous perfume ad)! So Brad the demigod and Diane the demigoddess both became faces of Chanel. Ipso facto, Chanel is the brand of the gods! OHMYGAWD Chanel is god!

Well duhh…one doesn’t need an oracle to tell you that.

Look for Diane’s Chanel skincare campaign out later this year! Surely a match made in heaven, am I right?
