Demi Lovato

Many of us know that Demi had a rough time last year when she was admitted into rehab for extreme anxiety and cutting. But now she’s come out of rehab, stronger and healthier than ever. People magazine says that Lovato recently visited the treatment center she was admitted to over a year ago to speak with those struggling with similar issues.

Demi tweeted on Saturday:

Today I went back to the treatment center I went to last year, to speak to the beautiful women fighting their inner demons…was so honored.”

The center Demi was admitted to was the Timberline Knolls Center in Illinois, a center for women dealing with “ a variety of struggles,” says People Magazine. Last Saturday, Demi was also in Illinois performing at the Chicago Rosemont Theatre. Not too long after the performance, the former Disney star tweeted:

“Please say a prayer for all of those struggling with eating disorders, self harm, mood disorders, and substance abuse.”

I love that Demi is turning a bad experience into something positive — what a role model! Even her latest hit,”Skyscraper,” sends a positive message: you can rise above any adversity, and it’s never too late to start over. We’re rooting for you, Demi! Keep walking on the straight and narrow.
