Princess of China

Coldplay has finally released their much anticipated music video, “Princess of China,” featuring the one and only, Rihanna. The music duo has teased fans about their music video collaboration since March after Rihanna tweeted a picture of herself in costume. After viewing the video, Chris and Rihanna do not disappoint in this visually appealing music video.

With a geisha inspired Rihanna and a ninja sword-throwing Chris Martin, there is never a dull moment in this video.  The visual sets make the track even more beautiful. Bright colors, detailed clothing, flying around and Rihanna’s multiple arms flailing all come together to make the perfect video.

The climax of the cinematic piece takes place when Rihanna and Chris are kneeling in a desert with their foreheads touching, showing their love for one another, yet the star crossed lovers cannot be together.

“Princess of China” is the fourth single off Coldplay’s fifth album, Mylo Xyloto.

“Her bit on our record is my favorite bit,” Chris says about working with Rihanna.

What do you think? Was the video worth the wait?
