In a e-mail newsletter to fans on August 12th, Coldplay introduced their next album, to be titled Mylo Xyloto. True to Colplay’s new sense of musical direction and style, the meaning behind the title remains unknown.
The album comes out in the US on October 24 and was produced by Markus Dravs, Daniel Green and Rik Simpson with what the band has named ‘enoxification’ and additional composition by Brian Eno. In the initial release, a special limited edition Pop-Up version of the album will be available. This will include a 12″ x 12″ hardback book that contains graffiti pop-art designed by David A. Carter, vinyl, CD, and even exclusive content including photographs, excerpts from the studio diary and personal notebooks from the band.
Coldplay’s next single is called “Paradise” and comes out on September 12. For now fans can enter to win a signed copy of the promo CD for “Paradise” by e-mailing their name and address to email@example.com before the 26th of August (one entry per person).
