He is known everywhere as the red-bottom savant. In addition to the inspiring book released last year of his legendary designs and creating a new glass slipper for Disney’s Cinderella this fall, Christian Louboutin will add beauty and cosmetics products to his list of entrepreneurial ventures in 2013. That means red sole lovers may be able to match their lipstick to their stilettos in the near future. Partnering with Batallure Beauty LLC, whose clients include Madonna, Marchesa, Sephora and Justin Beiber, the footwear connoisseur is gearing up to become a household name.

There’s no word yet on the specific date next year or what the line will consist of, but we’re sure fans can expect Louboutin’s trademarked sexiness and sophistication like that of his shoes. According to WWD, however, Christian Louboutin Beaute will include “multiple, unspecified classifications.” But expect Louboutin’s signature red to be somewhere in the line. Louboutin told WWD, “Beauty products also have to do with empowering women.” Since many fashion designers have made the transition into fragrances and cosmetics, it was only natural for Louboutin’s coveted style to make its way onto makeup counters and into purses.

For now though, fashionistas will have to get their scarlet fever from Louboutin’s popular platform pumps or sparkly, fanciful heels.  When the line launches, however, it won’t be long before women all over the world bear Christian Louboutin’s patented pout.
