Oscar winner and South African stunner, Charlize Theron, has a cute new baby, a fresh new ‘do, and, soon-to-be, a hot new show on The Style Network (cue Destiny’s Child’s “Independent Woman Part 1″)!
Her new baby is an adorable little bundle named Jackson, her new ‘do is a ballsy buzz cut (which she obviously rocks because the woman is, quite annoyingly, immune to looking anything less than gorgeous), and her new show is going to be called Glam Squad.
Appropriately titled, the new reality competition will follow three beauty teams made up of aspiring hairstylists and make-up artists as they battle it out to win coveted Hollywood assignments. Armed with the deadliest of weapons (mascara wands and red-hot hair irons), these stylists and artists will compete to create glamourous looks for music videos, fashion shoots, and big red carpet events.
Charlize is one of the executive producers of the show, but no word yet of whether she’ll pull a Heidi Klum and also host/judge the competition. Everyone knows that to have a hot reality show, you must have a hot celebrity host, and if an A+-lister like Charlize got the gig…well, this Style Network competition would have no competition! Heidi Klum may be a supermodel, but Charlize Theron’s an Oscar winner! Charlize would be our golden ticket into the glamourous world of Hollywood! And if these hairstylists and make-up artists are going to be creating looks for music videos, fashion shoots, and red carpet events, just imagine the celebrity sightings! Who wouldn’t want to tune in?!
This isn’t the only buzz-worthy show Style’s got up it’s designer sleeve, either. This year they’ll also debut Styled To Rock, a fashion competition produced and starring Rihanna, and Betsey and Lulu, a show that follows the lives of one of the fashion world’s most beloved designers, the crazy-fun, Betsey Johnson, and her daughter Lulu. Bravo better watch it’s back, because Style’s on its way to becoming the new queen of reality television.
Who knew Charlize Theron had such a passion for hair and make-up? I think it’s great that she’s branching out and trying something other than acting. But with her new ‘do, I doubt she’ll be featured as a client for the show’s stylists. What can you do with a buzz cut? Throw some butterfly clips in there? On second thought, maybe her hair will be the stylist’s final challenge – the show’s grand finale! I mean, whoever can style a nearly-bald head is surely a winner!
Will you watch Charlize’s new show?
