Cee Lo Green is returning to The Voice! But just for one night and one purpose only. For now.
Cee Lo, an original coach during the first three seasons of The Voice, will be stopping by the show not to visit his former colleagues and replacements (well, maybe), but to perform his new single “Only You” during the first week of Season 4′s live shows on Wednesday, May 8, which happens to be one of the ‘results’ episodes that follow the battle rounds. “Only You” is off his upcoming new album Girl Power, which is set to be released later this year. Check out the music video below!
Cee Lo will also be accompanied by the one and only musical legend, Rod Stewart, who is also performing a new song from his upcoming album which will be release the day before, May 7. The upcoming album will also be Rod’s first album of new material in almost 20 years! Listen to a preview below.
Are you more excited to see Cee Lo back on The Voice or Rod Stewart back in the music biz?
Though Cee Lo is only performing, this won’t be the last time he’ll be on the show. Yes, Cee Lo is not currently a judge on the show, but he definitely has plans to return for next season. There is also buzz that Christina Aguilara is following Cee Lo’s decision as well, so does that mean good-bye Usher and Shakira? I think most of us could agree that it really doesn’t matter, as long as Adam Levine stays. And probably Blake too for those country fans.
