Fine, fresh, and fierce at Roberto Cavalli

Roberto Cavalli is bohemian rock glam at its finest. The usual beads and sequins were accented with metallics and leather, adding a tough edge to the usual flow. Each look has multiple elements mixed into it, whether it be feathers, fringe, or an array of fabrics. This show was not one of simplicity, but that’s not a bad thing. The layering in each look gave the collection a new twist and was a nice foray into fall.

The elements combined to produce each look

The fringed skirt that opened the show was wonderfully boho chic, and the sharp jacket gave it a rocker spin.  The following mix of jackets, scarves, skirts, pants, and tights was both heavy and light in all the right ways, and dashes of metallic gave an extra something to the looks. Deep, dark colors and luxe fabrics added a romantic feel to the proceedings, but it got wild again with some animal print, which is clearly Cavalli. The velvets and furs were layered over maxi skirts for looks that Rachel Zoe would go ba-na-nas over, and other girls definitely would too.
