NYFW Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2012

NYFW Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2012

This summer nothing says fashion forward like ultra bright colors. Whether it is a pop of yellow on your nails or a bright fuchsia bag, bright colors are a must. One of the greatest things about this trend is the combination that is being used. Feel free to pair that bright green skirt with the cerulean top, or better yet add some hot pink heels. Bright color combinations are seen on the runways of Marc by Marc Jacobs and D&G.

Maybe you want to try a more classic approach. Color blocking bright colors with neutrals is a modern chic way to add some color to the bland. The new Webster collection from Target is a great, affordable way to try this trend. Pair a simple dress with this wide brimmed with green accents and you are sure to look simply chic.

Flyin’ High by China Glaze

The great thing about trends is that they are accessible to practically everyone. Old Navy just came out with a new collection of brightly colored dresses and Indian inspired tunics that are available for less than twenty dollars.

One of the best ways to incorporate this trend is through nail polish. Face it, it is relatively inexpensive and who doesn’t need more?  China Glaze brings bright colors for reasonable prices. Make an instant statement by adding a coat of Happy Go Lucky, a lemon yellow, or maybe paint your nails turquoise with Flyin’ High.

No matter how the trend is taken, the most important thing is to walk tall and be confident in what you wear. Color, especially bright color, can be intimidating but trying something out of the ordinary can be a great adventure.  With this seasons bright colors and the combinations that are accompanying them it is hard to screw up this trend.
