Bon Jovi: Alive and Well

On Monday, rumors swirled on both Twitter and Facebook that Bon Jovi was dead.  So many of these hoaxes have popped up over the past few years, you almost have to be a little skeptical when a celebrity’s death is announced.  It’s not only sad and pathetic that people have time to make these rumors, it’s terrible that as part of the public we can’t believe sensitive subjects such as this.

At least Bon Jovi turned something terrible into a  joke.  He posted a picture on Facebook with a sign saying, “Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey” with the date.   Underneath, the photo caption read: “Rest assured that Jon is alive and well! This photo was just taken.”

The rumor was supposedly taken from a blog post that stated the singer died from cardiac arrest.  Bon Jovi isn’t the only one who has been hit by the fake death scam.  Mick Jagger, Justin Bieber, and Jeff Goldblum are among many who have been pronounced dead when perfectly alive.  Charlie Sheen has been was rumored to be dead too, but with the way he was living, that’s no surprise.
