Justin Vernon of Bon Iver in concert

This morning, on the Bon Iver website, a mysterious and untitled video was posted on the homepage. The music video is 50 seconds long, wordless, and set to the image of a landscape painting.  Some sites are reporting that the piece might be a sneak peek of a new album. Even in its short length, the music is solid and beautiful, which is what we’ve come to expect from Bon Iver. It ends so abrupt with the sound of drumming that you just know and hope that there is more where it came from. I surely wish that this mystery song either debuts in full soon or becomes a bigger part of his newest album!

Justin Vernon, Bon Iver’s mastermind, has toured a lot and secured a great fan base ever since his debut with For Emma, and it should be lovely to see what else is next. He seems to have been on the silent end of the scene this year, but is expected to release an LP this June.

Are you excited to hear it? What are your thoughts on ‘Untitled’?
