Solange Knowles

Well, good news first. Aunt-to-be, Solange Knowles, couldn’t be more proud of her sister’s VMA performance on Sunday.  She tweeted on Aug 28th, “One. And Only. I could not possibly be more proud. Tears in my eyes.”

But the sun isn’t shining in all of Knowlesville.  The same weekend, pre-VMA, Solange was stopped by Miami’s cops and escorted out of a club because of the 5-ft blow-up banana she was holding. more…

Piers Morgan

The British phone hacking scandal that has caused the resignations of several editors and policemen, and has placed some of the most elite of England under scrutiny, is now focusing on Piers Morgan, who denies any involvement.

Morgan, former editor of two British tabloids, News of the World and the Daily Mirror, and host of CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight,” was accused at a hearing on Tuesday of being involved in the ever-extending scandal by Louise Mensch, a Conservative member of Parliament on the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee. more…

Radiohead

Radiohead has made itself extremely vocal on its feelings toward the Chinese government. They have performed in multiple “Free Tibet” concerts and in December they spoke out about the release of Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo on their website. Therefore, it comes as a surprise that the band would join in on the censored Chinese social networking site, Sina.com. more…

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga’s Twitter following grows at a faster pace every single day. With a new Twitter trend, #MonstersOwnTwitter, it is clear that Gaga has not only taken over the music charts, but is also taking over social media. She is currently the only celebrity — and person — to have that many followers.

But would you like to take a lucky guess as to who is No. 2? more…

Justin Timberlake

Social networks are quickly taking over the internet. It has gotten to the point where the first thing people reach for when they wake up in the morning is their phone, often to type a morning tweet. Others go on vacation and itch to upload the photos on Facebook.  There are those who use social networks as a diary, displaying their entire life on their computer screens in hopes of, maybe, getting some attention. And amidst all that, there’s Myspace, the website that was introduced to us in 2003 and occupied everyone’s attention for hours on end.

Now, it’s caught Justin Timberlake’s eye. more…

Frank Ocean and Chris Brown

After R&B singer Chris Brown tweeted what appeared to be a compliment, Odd Future Wolf Gang member Frank Ocean felt the need to retaliate, starting a full-on Twitter battle between the two artists.

The feud began when C. Breezy tweeted, “I f*ck wit Frank Ocean! Reminds me of a young James Fauntleroy or Kevin Cossum.” Fauntleroy and Cossum are accomplished songwriters for majors artist like Brandy, Keri Hilson, Mary J. Blige and even Breezy himself. Sounds like a nice compliment, right? more…

Soulja Boy

I feel like I’m always blogging and writing about twitter and celebrity rants.  Maybe it’s because the entire world is pretty much obsessed with them both?  Yup, that’s it. And our latest victim is rapper Soulja Boy.

About a week ago, the rant in question surrounded Soulja Boy discussing people who “like” an artist on Facebook who they really don’t like.  The rant started off like this: more…
