For many people, summer isn’t just about heading to the beach or going on vacation. Summer is also the season when big blockbusters take over movie theaters, and this year was no exception.
The list of this summer’s top 10 highest-grossing movies worldwide, according to Forbes.com with data from Box Office Mojo, is dominated by sequels, kids’ movies and action flicks. Claiming the top honor is Disney Pixar’s Toy Story 3, earning $895 million at the box office this summer. I think many would agree this film deserves the title as summer 2010’s box office champion.
