Creators of the Wugazi mash-ups... and a dog.

Swiss Andy recently gained some notoriety through his most recent collaboration with Cecil Otter, which produced a mixtape of mash-ups between Wu-Tang Clan and Fugazi songs. Known as Wugazi, the project is a must-listen for anyone who rode skateboards in the 90s – or anyone who wishes they had.

The producer and remix master has a few more tricks up his sleeve. On his blog, you can find and download remixes of popular indie artists like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Kills alongside more mainstream hits like Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.” The beats are drawn out in some tracks to give them a more sultry vibe, and in others he speeds it up to completely change the way you perceive the music like in his remix of “The Bay” by Metronomy.

He isn’t new to the remix scene, but he is still surprisingly a lesser-known name amidst dominant artists like Girl Talk and those in the DFA collective. His talent for finding precisely what within a track can be enhanced and explored is what makes his remixes attention-grabbing and worth listening to again and again.
