From Baartmans and Siegel's Spring/Summer 2012 lookbook

If stand-out textures and sharp tailoring mark great men’s design, then London-based designers Wouter Baartmans and Amber Siegel have nailed both. In their Spring/Summer 2012 collection under their label Baartmans and Siegel, the duo showcased their expertise on the male form, introducing to their London Fashion Week audience innovative collars, well-fitted parkas, stripe-imprinted outerwear, structured men’s bags and perfect pairs of skinny pants.

Baartmans and Siegel’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection was showcased as a component of Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s prestigious ‘Men’s Ones to Watch’ category, a part of Fashion Week’s Men’s Day. During the event, Baartmans and Siegel had the pleasure of presenting with the British Fashion Council.

As a design house, Baartmans and Siegel considers itself an up-and-coming luxury label with the objective of inspiring contemporary menswear. Wouter Baartmans and Amber Siegel are self-described modern traditionalists. The two, who met while working at Viktor & Rolf, connected over their shared values of superior craftsmanship and inventive design, which inspired them to start their own label.

Baartmans and Siegel are 2010 graduates from the prestigious Menswear Fashion Design and Technology and received their Masters at the London College of Fashion. Though fairly new in the industry, the two are quickly making a name for themselves. Baartmans and Siegel have been featured in Esquire Magazine and as part of Colin McDowell’s 7 Brilliant Brits. They have also presented their past two collections with Lulu Kennedy’s non-profit initiative Fashion East at London Fashion Week’s Men’s Day.
