Madonna

The 53-year-old original Material Girl will perform during the 2012 Super Bowl half-time show. This is just another gig to add to her countless list of acts shes already done.

The show, which will be held in the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, will take place on February 5th. I can only imagine what outrageous performance she will put on since her team is composed of the Cirque de Soleil, Jamie King, and artists from the Moment Factory. Hopefully nothing too crazy happens unlike fellow 80s pop singer Janet Jackson’s performance with Justin Timberlake at the 2004 Super Bowl. Jackson had a “wardrobe malfunction”, that caused mass hysterics, followed by a hefty fine.

However the real question is why they picked Madonna? I understand she’s a famous celebrity and is liked by many people, but she is quite old. Last year The Black Eyed Peas, Slash, and Usher all performed, and years before older stars such as The Who, Bruce Springsteen, U2, and the Rolling Stones made their appearance. I’ll guess we can see what other random artist they’ll throw in to join forces with Madonna this upcoming year!
