Lanvin for H&M

Luxury and low prices do not often go hand-in-hand, but H&M provides both these aspects to its money and fashion conscious customers.  In the past, the Swedish retail giant has teamed up with designers Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo, Viktor & Rolf, Comme des Garcons and Sonia Rykiel, providing an inexpensive way of dressing one’s self in designer clothing.  Next in line is Alber Elbaz, designer for French fashion house Lanvin, who was recently named H&M’s 2010 Big Idea.

Starting September 9, videos documenting “H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public” will be released on the H&M website.  To find out if a H&M store near you will carry the line visit their website on November 2,  when you can also preview the line consisting of dresses, jackets, evening-wear,  jewelry, hats, sunglasses, bags, shoes, lipstick, and menswear.   The much anticipated collection will be found in 200 H&M stores worldwide on November 23.

Lanvin's Fall 2010 Collection

Fine drapery, exquistie detail, fur and feathers; Can we expect Alber Elbaz's designs for H&M to reflect his Fall 2010 Ready to Wear Collection? Only time will tell.
