Hip hop artist Wyclef Jean’s dream of becoming the president of Haiti ended Saturday when the nation’s board of elections disqualified him from running for office. No reason for his disqualification has been released, but it has been rumored that his longtime residency in the US encouraged the decision.
Jean, a former rapper of the 90s group The Fugees, was born in Haiti but soon moved to the States to be raised in Brooklyn and New Jersey.
