Sean Hayes and Kristin Chenoweth shine in theater revival

“Promises, Promises,” one of the recent revival plays to hit Broadway, is entertaining audiences with its hysterical script, catchy songs and impressive cast. Sean Hayes and Kristin Chenoweth star in the renewal while Rob Ashford directs and choreographs the new show which was last performed on stage from 1968-1972.

Within the first energetic number, it’s easy to see why “Promises” has been nominated for four Tony awards, including Best Actor in a Musical, Best Performance by a Featured Actress in A Musical, Best Choreography and Best Orchestrations.

Director Ridley Scott's Robin Hood

In director Ridley Scott’s new adaptation of Robin Hood, the film’s arrow-wielding hero trades tights for chainmail. This is only one noticeable difference in the movie which takes a more historic and less ostentatious approach to its portrayal of the famous folkloric hero.

The new film is a prequel to the Robin Hood we all know – the outlaw who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. In 2 hours and 20 minutes, we see Robin’s journey to become the noble criminal.

Because this Robin Hood is supposed to be younger than the flashy green hero we’ve grown to love, the middle-aged Crowe seems an odd choice. But, it soon becomes clear that the age discrepancy isn’t the only discordant more…
