Actor Gary Coleman

Actor Gary Coleman died Wednesday afternoon

Gary Coleman died this week after suffering a brain hemorrhage that left him in a coma and eventually on life support. On Wednesday, Coleman injured his head in a fall and was brought to the Utah Regional Valley Medical Center in Provost, Utah. It was reported by doctors that he was conscious upon arrival but his condition later worsened. His family decided to take him off life support and he was reported dead at 12:05 PM.

Coleman’s wife, Shannon Price, released a statement which read ,”We are very grateful for all of the wonderful support everyone has extended to Gary’s family. Thousands of emails have poured into the hospital. This has been so comforting to the family to know how beloved he still is.”

Fans remember Coleman best as the co-star on the hit 70′s show, “Diff’rent Strokes.” As Arnold Jackson, a black child adopted by a rich white family, Coleman melted hearts across the nation with his legendary catchphrase, “Whatchu talkin’ about Willis?”

Coleman battled health issues throughout his life, even receiving a kidney transplant at age 11. His kidney and health problems are what caused Gary’s growth to be stunted. There is no doubt that Gary Coleman will be missed. He will forever be remembered as the adorable spitfire Arnold from Diff’rent Strokes who captured the hearts of millions.
