Whitney Port

Whitney Port

Our favorite gal from MTV’s reality series, The City, Whitney Port has ventured into the fashion business. From T.V personality, to Teen Vogue intern; our favorite fashionista has turned herself into a brand.

The 2010 Whitney Eve collection gives chic and feminine a whole new edge this spring. From party dresses, to blazers and must have blouses, let’s just say spring has sprung!

“I’m not designing clothes because I’m on a reality show. I wanted to be a designer before this all happened. I really want people to see me as a fashion designer first because it is what I’ve always wanted to do,” said, Port.

The former Hills star had pitched a few of her clothing ideas on several previous episodes of The Hills. Only this time, she was for real! Port released her line Whitney Eve in late January during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City. There were a great amount of ooh’s and ahh’s in Bryant Park that day.

But the reality star princess didn’t make this happen overnight. Port started off small in the fashion industry and worked her way to the top. Her experience as an intern for Women’s Wear Daily is what landed her the position as “fashion contributor” for Teen Vogue. Later, she was hired by Kelly Cutrone to work for People’s Revolution, in her hometown of LA. Port then left Los Angeles to find a career in the Big Apple.  There, she worked for designer Diane Von Furstenberg.  Today, Whitney still works for her second home, People’s Revolution.

As Port continues to make high fashion affordable, items from her collection can be brought from Kitson and purchased online. With prices ranging from $60 to $400, everyone can walk home with a piece of Whitney Eve.
