The name Alexa Chung, has been heard here and there and very much associated with fashion and entertainment. Alexa Chung started as a British model, turned TV star.  Her MTV talk show, It’s on With Alexa Chung, replaced TRL; the show features celebrities revealing their secrets, and Alexa adding her own British humor to them. Besides her show, Alexa has been spotted at numerous fashion events, always making a statement.

Born in Privett, Hampshire, her mother is English and father Chinese. Chung was first spotted in the entertainment world when she landed a role on TV reality series “Shoot Me!” in 2003. Alexa had also appeared on English “Popworld” in 2006.  Being on the show offered Alexa an inside view on the sassy pop culture. Besides TV, she has appeared in magazines such as CosmoGirl and various fashion campaigns.

Chung is known as one of the coolest TV personalities on MTV. As for her style, she is known for mixing different styles together to create her own look. For example, she will wear H&M and Chanel in the same outfit. “I hate dressing up,” she says. “I never feel like me.” The star is known for her tomboyish look, which always looks put together. Her typical outfit consists of skinny jeans and a loose top, possibly a blazer.

So how does she do it? “I believe in dressing to suit your shape. I don’t have cleavage, so I flash my long legs instead.” Flaunt what you have, in Alexa’s case- the long legs. When you flaunt off your best feature, you also show confidence- which always makes everything look better.

The typical Alexa Chung wardrobe is a collection of skinny jeans, vintage t-shirts, simple dresses and cardigans. All can be found at local stores, such as J.Crew and Gap. When splurging, splurge on something that is worth it and that you’re sure will be worn a lot, such as Chanel flats.

Over the summer, she appeared in V Magazine. Recently she has been spotted in the Pepe Jeans Spring/Summer 2010 campaign. As we can see, Alexa Chung has made quite an impact on the TV and Fashion world, but either way one can say it is sure that we’ll be seeing and hearing much more about her.
