Here comes the bride all dressed in . . . . Couture! Some women dream of this day while others are lucky enough to even see it. But, whether it’s a dream or a reality, a wedding is known to be the happiest day of a woman’s life. Get yourself a three layered cake, bundles of flowers, your best guys and gals, a room full of guest, someone behind the piano, and you’ve got yourself a wedding. Let’s not forget about the groom!  Everyone is there to see the two commence, but the oohh’s and ahhh’s are over the dress!

What a woman decides to wear on “that day” will be remembered forever. It’s a joy filled moment that is passed on to generation to generation, so be sure to make it a great one. Some women dare to be different at their wedding while others choose to reenact fairy tales. Whether your dress is simple or over the top, every layer, bow, stitch, or ruffle should represent you. Heidi Montag made more than just eyes pop in her more…

Kanye West

Kanye West

Some might say that Kanye is a follower – a poor soul that was “brainwashed” and misled into the cult. Forget the fact that he’s a grown man that can make his own decisions. Kanye’s supposedly the innocent bystander in all this garbage, but we don’t buy it.

It’s safe to say that after his mother passed Kanye’s antics were on full display. Whether he was b*tch*ng about not winning awards, or taking over other winners’ acceptance speeches-Taylor Swift ring any bells – Kanye’s always had an ego, and he’s never apologized for it, but that doesn’t mean that he’s in some secret society.

If a person takes a look at Kanye’s behavior over the years, he only started flying off the deep end, after his mother died. Everyone needs a reasonable amount of time to grieve, but unlike a normal person, who can crawl into their bed and more…

Fergie wearing embellished Emilio Pucci mini dress

Fergie wearing silver-embellished Emilio Pucci mini dress

A woman’s closet is nothing without a mini skirt. Not all women can wear it, but it sure is stashed somewhere in there. The mini-skirt is seen on the runways every season, and just in time for the holidays, embellished skirts are in! Paired with a classier simple white tee, and voila- you have a holiday ensemble.

Today, the mini skirt can be pulled off without looking tacky or like a teenager. Many celebrities have pulled off the trend, including Rihanna and Victoria Beckham. Even though we are all not as thin as Beckham, there is a way to pull of a tight skirt. The key is to balance the top and bottom. When wearing a tight mini, wear a loose top. A simple white or black tee works. For special occasions, add a blazer.

While the mini looks good alone, its not practical for more…

Hilary Duff and designer Max Azria There’s one dress style that has been worn by nearly every celebrity. It’s tight, short, and brightly colored and sometimes features intricate designs. It’s a Herve Leger dress, of course. Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, and Lindsay Lohan love the brand. A Herve Leger hugs the body and comes way above the knees. Stores such as Bebe have copied the design, but simply cannot compete with the original.

The designer started his life in the North of France in 1957. Later, he was accepted to art school and moved to Paris, in 1973. He went from hair design to more…

Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe

Hollywood never saw it coming, at least all wrapped up in one. Every girl had a dream, Marilyn just turned hers into reality. “I don’t want to make money, I just want to be wonderful,” she once said. That platinum blonde hair and blue eyes might have made every jaw drop across the nation, but her essence and talent are what kept the fans screaming, and the cameras rolling. Like watching the stars in the midnight sky, there was something about Marilyn’s persona that just kept glowing.

Norma Jeane Mortenson was the name she was given at birth, but Marilyn Monroe was her signature. “They’ve tried to manufacture other Marilyn Monroe’s and they will undoubtedly keep trying. But it won’t work. She was an original,” said Billy Wilder. Today, there is a bit of Marilyn walking around in more…

Rihanna

Rihanna

Although Chriannagate is officially over, that hasn’t stopped the media from attacking our Barbados beauty. When she’s not walking down red carpets or spotted hitting the hottest clubs from New York to Paris, Rihanna is dispelling rumors-that along with her mentor, Jay-Z, she is a “devil worshipper.”

This phenomenon started after the release of her second album, Good Girl Gone Bad.On the cover Ms. Ri Ri sports a short crop hairdo and black fingernails. A prediction of what was to come? Not hardly.

It’s a fact that when the album came out, Rihanna ushered in a new phase of dressing, and styling your hair. The crop became the “thing” to do and every woman recognized Ri Ri as a woman on her way to fashion icon status. The black nails, was a “fashion do” of 2007.

So when exactly did her “legions” of fans start to turn on her. Was it that they simply couldn’t understand that the 15-year-old girl, who was originally marketed as the “new Beyonce” had grown up and came into more…

twilightWith the Twilight series being a big hit in theaters, it’s no surprise that several new looks have emerged as a result. Although “vampire” looks may be a bit dramatic, there’s a way to subtly add the look into your make up routine. Whether you’re going for the “mortal” or “vampire” look, there is a way to make it work while looking less like a vampire and more like a Bella Swan.

Twilight has two sets of characters, mortals or vampires. Both have been great inspiration for beauty trends. In Twilight, mortals have a neutral, “nude” look. Golden hues are ideal for the eyes. Swipe a gold shadow under the eye and inner corners. For cheeks, go with a soft pink glow. The look should be topped off with a simple mascara and pink-nude lip gloss. The look should be kept simple and the most dramatic thing should be the mascara.

Vampires always make a statement, especially when it comes to more…

Victoria's Secret Angel

“New York is one of the fashion capitals of the world … Fashion starts with underwear, and that starts with Victoria’s Secret.”

-Miranda Kerr

From its upscale lingerie, down to its line of beauty products, Victoria’s Secret has become more than just a brand. It’s the one secret women have had hidden inside their drawer since the 1970’s. Today, those secrets are turning women into angels and setting off the oohh’s and ahh’s for most men.

Who ever thought a moment of embarrassment would lead to years of success? The discomfort in purchasing lingerie for his wife in a department store is what motivated Roy Raymond to open the first Victoria’s Secret store at the Stanford Shopping Center in California. The environment created for women, was also designed to make purchasing comfortable for men. Carrying on its success, 1989 was when Grace Nicholas became the Vice president of the brand. Now, there are 1,000 stores across the US that bring all types of women under the same roof.

“There’s something about a Victoria’s Secret fashion show that captures people’s imaginations,” said, the Columbus Dispatch. The annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, is where fashion meets lingerie. Along with the lingerie comes lace, pumps, bizzarre accessories and vibrant colors.  Models wink their eyes, and blow kisses as they hit the runway. Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, and Naomi Campbell are just a few familiar faces that have ripped the Vitoria’s Secret runway over the years. In honor of its Angels, these fashion icons have even spread their wings a bit, wearing Victoria’s Secret trademark wings. Whether you’re walking down the runway or out of the store, women are looking back at Victoria’s Secret with a pink bag and a smile.

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber

Who is the one artist to have four singles from a debut album simultaneously in the Billboard 40 before the album was even released?  Who would you guess?  Michael Jackson?  Led Zepplin? The Beatles?  Not even close!  This prestigious distinction goes to Justin Bieber whose singles “One Time,” “One Less Lonely Girl,” “Love Me,” and “Favorite Girl,” are tearing up the charts like a bulldozer of pristine pop perfection.  With his electronic hip-pop sound and trademark wink it’s easy to see why Bieber has found popularity with the crowd who thinks that Nick Jonas is past his prime.  But apart from his obvious talent as a musician and performer, the popularity of  “the other Justin” marks a shift in the music industry that is even more significant than having an album with four top 40 singles.

Marketing a debut album is a daunting prospect for any record label.  Subsequent albums have demographic knowledge that is gained from an artist’s initial exposure to the industry.  In recent years television and music companies have more…

They say that everything in the dark will eventually come to light; scare tactic or blunt honesty? It’s seems the past week has had a blazing spotlight on golf phenom, Tiger Woods, and while the scandal itself has him sweating, the intimate details of his alleged affairs have him blushing with leaked voicemails and exposed “sexts.” Astonishingly enough, Woods managed to engage in his lustful, high-risk behavior for three years without even the softest murmur from bloggers or entertainment networks, impressive. But Woods is just another name added to the endless list that reads, “Unfaithful Athletes.”

An athlete having gorgeous arm candy, and still having a thriving sweet tooth is nothing new. And though the cliché storyline is not easily overlooked nor encouraged, why has more…
