Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyed Peas are being charitable once again, creating a T-shirt to raise money for disadvantaged children worldwide.  The T-shirt will be sold as a limited edition piece in aid of the group’s Peapod Foundation, which helps provide education, shelter and healthcare for children.

The garment is made in collaboration with Aeropostale, according to contactmusic.com.

Aeropostale has pledged $100,000 to the Peapod Foundation, according to a company press release.

“We are thrilled to partner with Aeropostale in raising awareness and funds for our Peapod Foundation,” member Apl.de.ap said. “The Foundation works to encourage change for social issues affecting children worldwide. The Peapod Foundation provides tools and mentors encouraging children to express themselves through music and art.”

Unless you never set foot in a mall, you’re more than likely to see the shirt’s advertisement all across Aeropostale’s store windows. During the campaign, Aeropostale will be promoting with window displays along with voiceovers from members of the band to be played in all of its stores. So, don’t get too excited when you think Will.I.Am is right behind you – it’s only over the sound system.

The Black Eyed Peas will also be promoting their partnership through (surprise!) Facebook and Twitter.
