And by J, we’re not talking about her superstar husband, Jay-Z, I mean the original teen heartthrob, Justin Timberlake. Rumor has it, while Beyonce was recording for her new album, everyone’s favorite crooner was in the vicinity; apparently actually in the studio with her.
All hail the music gods for making this happen! The only collaboration these two have done was “Until the End of Time”, in 2007. Which bears the question, are we more excited for the duo, or the fact that we’ll finally be hearing Justin Timberlake’s voice again? I can’t be the only one that thought it was over. That the JT days were now replaced with JB ones. How long has it been since we heard those angelic harmonies placed over hot beats? The (possible) return of Timberlake could give Bieber a run for his money.
What better way to come back on the scene than with the queen of R&B/Pop? Timberlake already has an arsenal of successful collaborations with other artists, so it is obvious that this potential song will be an instantaneous hit. Will it be along the lines of a love song like Rihanna’s “Rehab”? Maybe a pop-dance feel similar to Madonna’s “4 Minutes”? Or possibly a rapper, singer, and Timberlake combo like in “Give it to Me” with Nelly Furtado and Timbaland? If the latter is true, the rapper in this case would most likely be Jay-Z, and that my friends, would hands down be the greatest collaboration of all time.
So does this all mean Timberlake is back for good? Slow your roll, maybe not.
He seems so busy with acting, and his recent marriage to Jessica Biel, so this could all be a tease. Possibly a light-hearted “I’m back, but only for one song” situation? The world, specifically us girls, could only hope not. Timberlake is a staple in pop, and music in general. It would be a shame if we never got an actual “goodbye” from him in regards to his music. So Justin, for all of us, please, stay for good!Beyonce, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, music, Perez Hilton, pop, R&B
