Beyonce

Beyonce is back on the block with her new single that is considered the new girl-power anthem. With new management, no longer under the wing of her father Matthew Knowles, I’m excited for Bee’s new direction. Word is, she’s been in the studio slaving away on her fourth album that has been set to be released later in the year.

Her new single, “Run the World (Girls),”  has a marching band/techno feel (thanks to Major Lazer) that is cool for a party mood but not just for listening. It’s an interesting combination of sounds, however I’m ready to see what the rest of the album is going to sound like.

I am an avid Beyonce fan, but I find that she milks her popular albums for a very long time, and she never really makes singles or featured appearances inbetween. Her albums are so anticipated and listened to that they fans memorize each hit within days. However, I’m curious about this fourth album because of the single and its representation of the final product. She never gives us anything short of amazing so the execution is not my concern, its the redundancy of playing and listening to Beyonce after playing the same album for months.

A source revealed that Beyonce is working with Odd Future and some other cool up and coming artists for her new album. Well, we shall see what the Queen B brings!
